Thich Nhat Hanh, sometimes known as ‘the father of western Buddhism’ brought the practice of mindfulness to the West over 40 years ago. This September, we are hugely priviledged to welcome senior teachers in his tradition to Leicester.
We warmly invite you to share this experience with us as we sit, walk and eat together mindfully.
Food: please bring a packed vegetarian lunch. 
Walk: We will walk mindfully along New Walk, every step - a step of peace. Please bring suitable footwear and join us for every step you can contribute.
Sitting: Please feel free to bring a meditation cushion or stool. Chairs will be provided.
Venue Details: New Walk Museum and Art Gallery has full access for disabled visitors and an accessible toilet. There is provision for two parking bays for Blue Badge holders in the museum car park. The room we will be using is hearing loop enabled.
Parking: There is a public car park at Victoria Park which is a 6-8 minute walk away and is free on a Sunday. There is also free Sunday street parking nearby.
Tickets: Concessions may be available to you if you are on benefits or low income. For more information, please email . Any money left over after expenses and dana (donation) to the monastics will be used to further the practice of mindfulness in Leicester.
